About the Author

Lindz Deaver writes contemporary romance where logic meets love and the equations rarely add up in the way you’d expect. A math teacher and mom to three boys, her life is equal parts lesson plans, chaos, and stories about emotionally complicated people finding their happily ever after. When she’s not writing, she’s probably running on too much caffeine, sarcasm and the firm belief that both love and math are a little unhinged.

“He’s the unsolvable equation she never saw coming and now her heart’s full of unanswered questions.”

The Equation of Us

Emory Carter has life down to a simple algorithm. A brilliant young math professor, Emory has her sights set on the prospect of a tenured position. She doesn't have time in her life for distractions, especially the romantic kind. That is, until a stranger with hazel eyes and too many secrets confronts her at her favorite coffee shop, and  suddenly the numbers stop adding up.

Sam Morgan wasn't looking for anyone, but when he strikes up a conversation with an unconventional girl in a coffee shop, he’s hooked. But he's leading a double life that doesn't quite fit Emory’s perfectly calculated life. When the truth comes out, his world is turned on its axis.

Now, with her career on the line and her heart unexpectedly in the equation, Emory has to decide if love is worth the variables or if some problems are better left unsolved.
